iTube you bru*!
This is cool. No, this is really cool! I've been wondering for some time now how to safe YouTube vids onto my laptop, and now I found an even better compromise.
A freeware known as iTube (PodTube for Mac users) makes it really easy to downlaod, convert, and add YouTube videos to your computer AND your iPod (the video iPod that is)
Using iTube on Windows, one simply pastes the YouTube URL into iTube, at which point it also downloads, converts, and adds the file to your iTunes library.
Its a really small application to download an works like a charm. Now I can stock up on some videos and use them to kill some time when waiting for meetings or people arriving late to lunches

There
hey, thanks for this. looks like some good stuff. I shall spend the rest of my working day playing with this.
hey TGWWTC, it def is good stuff! and best is that you can just copy and past url's in the background whilst working...enjoy
This rocks!!!
Colin, it does indeed :) Only minor problem I have notices thus far is the compression which does lower the overall quality of the vids..so they are quite pixelated. Nevertheless, they are on your iPod :P
